Allow me to introduce myself!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am so excited that you found your way here. My name is Daniel (or Dan for short) and I work with people dealing with symptoms of high stress and anxiety. How did I have this become my area of focus? Many clients ask me how I came to have that be my area of focus.

Ever since I can remember I was a helper. I always wanted to help people around me and I wanted to lift people up and make them feel good. I made it my mission to help bring as much joy as I could to the people around me. I was full of energy as a kid (I still am). A lot of my energy went into competitive gymnastics, music, dancing and going on endless outside adventures with my friends. In school, I worked hard to maintain good grades and for awhile it was going great. Then one day, something changed.

All I can remember is sitting down in class, getting ready to take a test I had studied for and I could not recall or remember any of the information that I had studied. As I read through the list of questions, I drew a blank. What was happening? I had teachers tell me that I may have a learning disability, I had others say, “Maybe it’s test anxiety”. Whatever it was, it was not fun and I started to dread school, studying and any kind of test taking.

Around middle school, my Aunt JoAnna who was a mind and body coach offered to work with me to see if she could help. During her sessions with me, I was introduced to Reiki, applied kinesiology and a number of movement-based learning techniques for the very first time.. Through her work with me, I noticed shifts within myself and I was able to tap into, process and change what was happening within me at both a conscious and unconscious level. I was amazed. I had a major realization: My brain may be different than others and I may not learn in the same way as school is structured. With all the work I was doing with my Aunt, I realized I was a visual and a kinesthetic (hands on) learner, meaning I had to see and do things so that I could learn. School was actually set up for me to be unsuccessful as it’s usually a pattern of: read a book, sit still and listen, sit and write a report, etc. My newfound information changed my life forever and I trusted to listen to my own intuition and signals that my body gave me.

Years later, I went to massage school and it was so magical to find something that was visual and kinesthetic. I found the more I worked on people, the more information I got from the muscles and their energetic systems. I found that by simply asking questions to clients, I could get people out of their heads, into their bodies, and discovering their own innate powers that they had. .

When I graduated massage school, I worked for a chiropractor, then at a high end spa for over 10 years. While working at the spa, I worked on such a diverse group of people that included professional athletes, dancers, tech CEOs, leisure guests and business travelers. Most people I worked with had this ONE common issue of stress (both physical and mental).. Some people came to the spa just for relaxation, however, for those who were open to it, I began to ask questions so I could have them uncover what was underneath (or in their unconscious) and allowed people to discover what was happening internally so they could start to realize that they had a lot of power to take control of their lives and their experience of being in their bodies.

After Covid hit, I had to stop all hands on sessions for over 6 months. This was a very scary time for me. Thankfully during lockdown, I had the opportunity to take an online training where I become a certified hypnotherapist, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) coach, and Time Line Therapy® practitioner. I became certified at the Master level in all of the certifications and decided that I would find ways to add and utilize all the new techniques that I learned into my existing massage business. Our body does remember everything that has every happened to it at the unconscious level. Sometimes bodywork and energy work will allow trauma or negative emotions to rise to the surface either during or shortly after the session takes place. Suppressed emotion can be very damaging to our mental, energetic and physical body. During my sessions, I hold space for my clients, allow them to process anything they need to process and have the tools to assist someone through that experience.

Healing looks different for every person. It is a process and a journey. When I work with people, I meet them where they are. I never try and change anything. In my eyes, everyone is whole and complete. By having a discovery call, we come up with a plan together that works for you. I believe in the do with process. Every process along the way is done together. I simply guide you and hold the space and allow you to begin to heal yourself. I love reminding people of the power that they have within themselves. I look forward to meeting you.
