Policies

Your satisfaction is very important to me. For you to have the BEST session possible, I expect all clients to read and abide by these policies as a condition of doing business with me.

If you have any questions, or if you have circumstances that you feel deserve special consideration, please let me know as soon as possible.

Thank you so much! I look forward to working with you.

  • Booking can be done on the scheduling page or by calling me at 415-328-8107.

Sessions are by appointment only. Same-day and last-minute sessions are not permitted except for clients on my waiting list.

A valid credit card is required to reserve your appointment time. Payment is due at the time of service and can be made with cash, credit/debit card, check, Venmo, or PayPal.

  • I require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or rescheduling. To cancel or reschedule an appointment, you may do any of the following:

    • Use the “Change/Cancel Appointment” link in your confirmation email.

    • Call me at 415-328-8107 anytime and leave a message.

    • Email me at dan@danthehealer.com.

    Fees

Clients agree to pay the following fees, charged to their credit card on file, if they cancel or reschedule within these timeframes:

    • Less than 24 hours before the appointment: $50

    • No-show: 100% of session fee

    Appointment Reminders

I send reminders (email and SMS/text) 48 hours before the appointment start time so that clients have ample time to reschedule, if needed, before the 24-hour window begins. Although I send these reminders as a courtesy, it is ultimately up to you to remember your appointment.

You can easily cancel or reschedule your session using the links in your confirmation and reminder emails.

  • To receive the best session possible, you must communicate your needs, preferences, requests, or feedback to me at any time before, during, or after your session.

Tell me right away if you feel unwell, uncomfortable, or distracted at any time during the session so that adjustments can be made.

As your therapist, I want your HONEST feedback (positive or negative), and I promise that I do not take offense to it! I want you to create the best possible session for YOU.

  • Virtual sessions are conducted via Zoom, Google Hangouts, or FaceTime.

Please plan to connect to your video conference five minutes early to ensure there are no technical difficulties and that you receive your full session time. If clients arrive late, they will receive whatever time remains of the appointment and agree to pay for the full length of the session.

Please also ensure that you have a secure, stable internet connection and that you will be in a safe and private location where you won’t be bothered during your virtual appointment.

  • I do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent illness, disease, mental health conditions, or medical issues of any kind. My work does not constitute psychotherapy nor medical consultation, advice, or treatment. I help clients to reduce their stress levels and create inner feelings of comfort and optimism, which can soothe the nervous system and thus support overall experiences of wellness. By booking an appointment with me, you understand that I am not a psychotherapist, psychologist, doctor, mental healthcare clinician, or other medical provider.
